The Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) is a national database where security interests over personal property, such as cars, trucks, trailers, caravans, motorbikes, boats even aircraft, can be registered and searched. The PPSR Search Portal allows members of the public to easily enter the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), Chassis Number or Registration Number of a motor vehicle in order to conduct a search without having to create an account within the governments PPSR system.
Over 2.5 million searches are conducted against the PPSR system every year and provide buyers with the peace of mind prior to purchasing a used vehicle.
